PlodScam

Terms of Service

Effective date: [INSERT DATE]   Last updated: [INSERT DATE]

These Terms govern your use of the PlodScam website and its scam-awareness tools. The service is provided by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (“PlodScam”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), with registered address at [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. By using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

1. Informational service only

PlodScam provides an automated, informational assessment of submitted content. It is not a bank, government agency, law-enforcement service, emergency service, legal adviser, financial adviser, cybersecurity warranty, or substitute for an investigation by a competent authority.

A result labelled safe or no threat detected does not prove that content is safe. A careful or danger result does not prove criminal conduct. Results may be wrong, incomplete, delayed, or affected by missing context. You remain responsible for deciding what to do and should verify important matters through an official channel.

2. Use the checker safely

Do not submit passwords, OTPs, bank details, payment credentials, national ID numbers, passport details, health information, private personal information, or information you are not authorised to share. Remove identifying details before submitting content. You must not use the service to harass, defame, impersonate, threaten, attack, probe, or unlawfully obtain information about another person or system.

You must not upload malware, unlawful material, content that infringes another person’s rights, or content that creates a security or privacy risk for the service or a third-party provider.

3. AI and third-party services

PlodScam may send submitted content, extracted OCR or QR/barcode values, relevant URL context, and follow-up questions to [AI PROVIDER NAME] or another disclosed third-party provider to generate an assessment. The provider may process the content under its own terms and privacy policy. You authorize this transmission when you submit content, subject to the disclosures in our Privacy Policy.

Third-party news, website, hosting, email, security, and AI services are outside our control. Their availability, output, retention, and terms may change. PlodScam does not adopt or guarantee third-party content.

4. Query records and anonymized analysis

We may create encrypted, minimized records of submissions and results to operate the service, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and build an anonymized dataset of scam patterns. The application record is designed not to use an IP address, account ID, or direct personal profile. A random protected technical token may be used to group related anonymous requests. See the Privacy Policy for the exact retention and provider terms.

5. Reports and cooperation

Where appropriate and legally permitted, PlodScam may provide aggregated or anonymized threat intelligence to vetted partners or cooperate with relevant authorities. We do not promise that a report will lead to an investigation, account recovery, takedown, arrest, refund, or other outcome. Do not treat PlodScam as an emergency reporting channel.

6. Intellectual property and permission

You retain rights you already have in content you submit. You grant PlodScam a limited, non-exclusive permission to process that content solely to provide the requested assessment, maintain security, and create anonymized service-improvement or threat-pattern data as described in the Privacy Policy. This permission ends when the relevant processing is complete, except for data that has been irreversibly anonymized or must be retained by law.

7. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue a feature, provider, or part of the service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, a particular response time, or that every URL, image, phone number, language, or scam type can be assessed.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Thai law, PlodScam is not liable for losses arising from reliance on an automated assessment, third-party output, unavailable service, inaccurate content, or actions taken by another person. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer or data-protection rights.

9. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand, unless mandatory law requires otherwise. Any dispute will be handled by the courts or dispute-resolution process having lawful jurisdiction. Questions about these Terms should be sent to [LEGAL CONTACT EMAIL].

This is a working Terms template, not legal advice. Obtain Thai legal review and complete every bracketed field before relying on it.
